Marriage.

Today is my parents' 36th Wedding Anniversary. After calling and saying "Happy Anniversary" to my mom at work, I asked her if it has felt like 36 years. She said "No, it felt like we got married yesterday and he took me to the senior prom the week before that, and a week before that he asked me on a date in front of my locker. But I know it's not because we have you girls and I am waiting on my first grandchild."

If the journey we all take to find The One-full of heartache, conversation, tears, angst, maybe counseling, crushes, reflection, misguidance, happiness, smiles, joys-could possibly end with something that resembles the marriage of my parents, then I will take it with my head held high, and I am thinking I am not alone in that. At least, I hope not.
