Thanks be to.....
Haven't posted in a bit! Since this is new and I don't think of myself as a crazy blogger, I forget I have one sometimes.
As always, the Mittelmeier Christmas is always spectacular. It used to be just the four of us, but now that Heather is married, we have some new family and they are always great fun. We started the holiday off right at Michael (bro-in-law)'s sister's house, and brought our Tom & Jerry's. Tom & Jerry's is a german drink that my dad grew up with, it consists of sugar, egg whites, brandy, rum, and nutmeg. It is damn strong and will put you over if you don't consume with care. Needless to say, we now have Tom & Jerry followers after the gathering. Christmas morning followed with presents, mamosas, and watching animals tear up wrapping paper. Heather and Michael got a dog, Daisy, so we had two dogs and two cats in the house. Somewhat surreal, I never imagined we would have more than one animal in the house at one time, and we have added two cats to the mix. After presents we started cooking and I started work on my glogg, and it turned out GREAT. I need to find some mugs for it...but I found a new website, Hemslojd, with a bunch of Swedish gifts and they have some mug sets specifically for glogg so we shall see. Our neighbors came over for Christmas dinner and dessert and the night ended with a sigh of relief and sadness that Christmas was over.
Santa was very good to me, I received a bunch of wonderful things, but to name a few....
Some Vera Bradley, more Burberry treats, a MIXER so I can finally BAKE...joyness.
I will ponder the best things about 2008 during my "Get your Sexy back" aerobics class at the studio...stay tuned.
